All About A Golf Club Travel Bag
If you do any amount of traveling with your golf clubs, then you know how great a golf club
travel bag can be. But, what you may not be aware of is the different types of travel bags and which one is right for you.
Before you purchase any golf travel bag, ask yourself a few questions. How often will you be traveling and wanting to take your golf clubs?
What form of transportation are you using? Plane or auto? What is your budget?
Now that you have the answers to these questions we can look at the different types of golf travel cases and find the one for you.
Soft Golf Club Travel Bag
These bags are made out of canvas on the outside and often padded on the inside. In addition, they have a hard bottom and wheels, or rollers,
to help golfers maneuver around easier.
This style of travel bag works great when traveling by car. It's compact and stores away easily. It's also lightweight and holds up to
frequent use as well.
Although soft bags are good, there are drawbacks to them. They do not offer up as good of protection as a hard case provides. In some
situations your golf club shafts or heads could be damaged. I've never broken a shaft using a soft bag, but I have friends who have. You'll have
to weight out the benefits and make your own choice.
Hard Case Golf Club Travel Bag
If you are doing any airline travel with your clubs, then you need a hard case bag. You'll get extreme protection from any kind of abuse and
added security too.
Airlines will generally cover any damages to a hard case bag, unlike a soft case. So, you can see how it makes for a smart choice.
Hard cases will hold plenty of golf gear in addition to your clubs.
The drawback is that this type of bag will take up more room in the car. Since it isn't flexible like the soft bag it can be difficult to
maneuver around at times. If you will not be flying to your golf destinations, a soft bag would be a better choice.
Regardless of which style you choose, a golf club travel bag is essential for travelers to have in protecting their expensive clubs.
